Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Ardiansyah App operates SummizeIt. This policy explains how we use information when you visit the site, sign in, upload PDFs, generate summaries, or buy a subscription. For privacy requests, email ardnsyhs@ardiansyah.app.
Information we process
- Account identifiers and account information made available through sign-in, including your email address.
- Uploaded PDF files, file names, sizes, storage references, checksums, extracted text, and generated summaries.
- Subscription and transaction identifiers, payment status, billing periods, plan changes, and generation usage. Paddle collects payment details; SummizeIt does not store full payment-card numbers.
- Technical request information such as IP addresses and browser information, together with operational diagnostics, timestamps, failure codes, and correlation IDs.
- Messages and information you send when contacting support.
Why we use this information
We use this information to authenticate you, store and process PDFs, generate and save summaries, verify paid access, enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and answer support requests. We also keep billing information needed for accounting, payment disputes, and legal obligations.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our agreement with you to provide the service, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, and applicable legal obligations. Where consent is required, we will ask for it.
Service providers and AI processing
SummizeIt uses the following services for the functions described below:
- Clerk provides authentication and account sessions.
- UploadThing stores uploaded PDFs and provides file delivery.
- Neon/PostgreSQL stores application records, saved summaries, upload metadata, billing state, and usage.
- Groq receives extracted document text and instructions to generate summaries. If Groq returns a rate-limit error, SummizeIt can send that text to Google Gemini as a fallback.
- Paddle processes checkout, subscription management, billing, and refunds as merchant of record. Its processing is also described in the Paddle Privacy Policy.
Generating a summary requires sending document text to an external AI provider. Avoid uploading sensitive personal information or confidential documents unless you have permission to process them this way. Provider retention and use of information are governed by the applicable provider terms and settings; this policy does not promise zero retention or exclusion from provider training.
Our hosting and service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Protections and legal requirements can differ by location. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to investigate abuse or protect legal rights.
Storage, retention, and deletion
Saved summaries remain in the application until you delete them or request removal. You can delete a saved summary from your dashboard. This removes the saved summary record, but does not automatically delete the original PDF from UploadThing, billing records, usage records, or provider-held data.
Uploaded PDFs are not automatically deleted just because processing finishes or an upload reference expires. Contact support to request deletion of uploaded files or your account information. We may need to verify your identity before carrying out a request.
We retain operational and billing records as needed to run the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Deletion from the application does not necessarily remove information immediately from backups or independent provider records. We do not promise a fixed deletion time for those systems.
Cookies and browser storage
Authentication and checkout providers use cookies or browser storage for sessions, payment flows, and related security functions. Blocking these mechanisms can prevent sign-in or checkout from working. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
Your choices and requests
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, restrict or object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact ardnsyhs@ardiansyah.app to make a request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
We will update the date on this page when this policy changes. Contact us if you need clarification about how your information is processed.
